Terms of Service
Last updated: August 14, 2026
These terms are a plain-language agreement between you (the merchant installing SaleGuard) and us (the team operating it). Installing or using the app means you accept them.
1. Who we are
In short: SaleGuard is operated by an independent team; it is not a Shopify product.
SaleGuard (“the Service”, “we”, “us”) is a Shopify app operated by NGUYEN THI THU TRANG, registered at Tân Lập, Bến Cầu, Tây Ninh, Vietnam. SaleGuard is a third-party app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Shopify Inc.
2. What the Service does
In short: SaleGuard schedules sales on your store: it changes product prices through Shopify's official API, keeps a snapshot of the original prices, and restores them when the sale ends.
The Service lets you:
- schedule a sale (a discount applied to selected products for a set time window);
- preview the exact price changes before anything is applied to your store;
- have original prices snapshotted before the sale starts and restored automatically when it ends;
- roll a sale back to the original prices at any time.
All price changes are made through Shopify’s official Admin API. The Service does not inject code into your storefront theme.
3. Your responsibilities
In short: You stay in charge of your store's prices and must follow the pricing laws that apply to your business.
- Review before you run. The app shows a preview of every planned price change. You are responsible for checking that the discount, the product selection and the schedule are what you intend before starting a sale.
- Pricing law compliance. Rules about sales, reference prices (“was/now” pricing) and price advertising differ by country. You are responsible for making sure your sales comply with the laws that apply to your store.
- Account security. Access to the app runs through your Shopify account. Keep that account secure; actions taken from your store’s admin are treated as yours.
- Fair use. Do not use the Service to break the law, to interfere with Shopify’s platform, or to probe, overload or disrupt the Service itself.
4. Plans, fees and billing
In short: Paid plans are billed through Shopify's own billing system and show up on your Shopify invoice. Paid plans start with a free trial.
The Service offers a free plan and paid plans. Current prices and plan limits are shown on the app’s Plan & billing page and on the app listing; those pages are the authoritative price list.
- All charges are processed by Shopify Billing and appear on your regular Shopify invoice. We never see or store your payment card details.
- Paid plans include a 7-day free trial. If you cancel or uninstall before the trial ends, you are not charged.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until you downgrade to the free plan or uninstall the app.
- Plan upgrades and downgrades take effect through Shopify Billing, which applies its standard proration rules.
- Refunds are handled as described in our Refund Policy.
5. Service changes and availability
In short: We work to keep the Service reliable, but it depends on Shopify's platform and, like any software, can have downtime.
The Service depends on Shopify’s Admin API and infrastructure. If Shopify’s platform is unavailable or changes in a way that affects the Service, some features may be delayed or unavailable. We design the Service so that interruptions fail safe: original price snapshots are kept so prices can be restored once the Service or the platform recovers.
We may improve, change or discontinue features over time. If we discontinue a feature you rely on, we will give reasonable advance notice and a way to export your data.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
In short: The Service is provided as-is. We build in safety mechanisms, but we do not promise perfection.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, except where such disclaimers are not permitted by the law that applies to you. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that every price operation will complete on the exact planned second.
7. Limitation of liability
In short: If something goes wrong, our liability is capped at what you paid us in the last 12 months.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost revenue, arising out of or related to the Service. Our total aggregate liability for all claims related to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
8. Termination
In short: You can leave any time by uninstalling. We can suspend accounts that abuse the Service.
- You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app from your store. What happens to your data afterwards is described in our Privacy Policy (in short: snapshots expire after 60 days; personal data is erased when Shopify sends the corresponding deletion webhook).
- We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms, abuse the Service, or if Shopify requires us to.
9. Changes to these terms
In short: If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you before it takes effect.
We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes we will give notice inside the app or by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated terms. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
10. Governing law and contact
In short: These terms use Vietnam law; questions go to support.
These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, and disputes are subject to the courts of Vietnam, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer or merchant protections that apply to you.
